All is well in this fairy tale, but for a few minutes, until the most unexpected happens. I experienced a similar shock when I was watching Badlapur and Yami Gautam meets in an accident. But, after that everything seemed a bit too predictable. In fact, Kaabil and Badlapur have much more in common than just Yami Gautam; a slim story line and a crazy husband who is busy committing the perfect crime. Kaabil is a weak story served in a typical Bollywood ‘ishtyle’.
What I liked: Brilliant performance by Hrithik Roshan in spite of a disappointing plot.
What I did not like: Bollywood once again reinforces that it is okay to go around butchering people in vengeance. This needs to stop.
One line summary: Kaabil is a refined version of Badlapur with visually-impaired characters.
Should you watch it?: It is not a must watch, but can definitely help kill time.
